When you stay at the Sage Motel in Gettysburg, SD, you will be close to many local attractions and be surrounded by huge opportunities for hunting and fishing. There is great hunting in the area and we are only a 15-minute drive from the Missouri River's beautiful Lake Oahe where there are great fishing and water activities.

We have 14 newly remodeled rooms and are open year round. Our rooms include wireless internet, cable TV, refrigerators, microwaves, and telephones. Pets are welcome, and there is always coffee available in the lobby. All rooms have direct access from the outside, and you can park right outside your door.

Hunting opportunities in our area include Pheasant, Prairie Chicken, Sharptail Grouse, Ducks, Geese, Partridge, Prairie Dogs, Antelope, Mule Deer, and Whitetail Deer. If you enjoy fishing, you'll love Whitlock Bay. Located on the Missouri River's beautiful Lake Oahe, just minutes West of the Sage Motel, Whitlock Bay will lure you with amazing fishing (Northern Pike, Walleye, Salmon, Catfish, and Bass) and great water activities.

Other area attractions include Mysterious Medicine Rock and the Dakota Sunset Museum. Gettysburg Country Club is located just North of the motel. The Country Club offers 9 holes, grass greens, and a comfortable clubhouse.

West Whitlock Recreation Area, which is 18 miles West of Gettysburg offers a swimming beach, a boat ramp, and fish cleaning stations.
